\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the Program: \u003c/strong\u003eAt the Post Release Outpatient Program Services ( PROPS ) program in San Diego, \u0026ldquo;recovery\u0026rdquo; is a term we use frequently.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003eWe believe that recovery can happen, and we will do whatever it takes to help our members achieve their goals in life. PROPS uses a multidisciplinary team approach, which includes personal service coordinators, peer advocates, clinicians, a prescriber, and a nurse.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003eOur services are provided to 60 members on probation and are designed using the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model. Our staff offers advocacy for individuals who have extensive contacts with the criminal justice system; provide outreach and engagement; benefits and housing assistance; independent living skills training; and supportive counseling sessions.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout AB109: \u003c/strong\u003ePROPS is an AB 109 program funded through the Department of Probation and the County of San Diego Behavioral Health Services. This assembly bill (AB) allows current non-violent, non-serious, non-sex offenders that have a mental illness receive mental health services once they are released from California State prison while on probation.\u003c/p\u003e
