We are expanding our Mental Health Nursing provision in the beautiful South West of England. Through our South West Clinical School collaboration and in partnership with Cornwall Foundation Trust, we are looking to appoint two new Lecturer Practitioners. These exciting roles will role share lecturing and practice-based duties. We are looking to appoint appropriately qualified and experienced candidates to contribute to teaching excellence related to nursing care and contribute to the academic and clinical development of Nursing. This will include the development and delivery of foundation degree, undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare programmes. You will also be encouraged to contribute to research within the School and join an appropriate research group. In clinical practice, you will work to the Consultant Nurse for Mental Health and Targeted Services, focusing on the fundamental aspects of nursing care. Working in and as part of a multi-professional team, you will use knowledge and experience to influence sustainable practice improvements and areas for development that have been identified through the ‘ASPIRE’ local accreditation programme. The University offer foundation degree, undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD programmes. Research in the School was rated highly in the REF2014 and continues to grow. The University of Plymouth Clinical Schools initiative is an exciting development, through which applied nursing and midwifery research focuses on topics that are timely and relevant to advancing the quality of care. Existing clusters of research, including Applied Health Genetics, e-health and Sustainability, Society and Heath, continue to attract external funding and PhD students. You should possess appropriate professional qualifications, registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the NMC is essential, relevant post registration experience, a Degree in health or a related subject, relevant postgraduate qualifications and a teaching qualification (or be willing to work to achieve this).
